Yoko Ono had a weird life that was everything but boring. Her father’s job got moved around a couple of times, so her family didn’t stay in one place for too long. Her father’s name is Eisuke Ono and her mom is Isoko Ono. The family moved to New York in 1940 and they moved back the next year to Tokyo, Japan.

When they came back, Yoko went to Peer’s school near the Imperial Palace and graduated in 1951. After high school, she was accepted in an exclusive department at Gakushuin University for philosophy and she was the first woman to be accepted, but she only finished two semesters.

Yoko moved back to New York though and enjoyed meeting poets and artists in interesting city and she went to Scarsdale Lawrence College.

Yoko Ono did her rounds with marriage and divorces. She married Toshi Ichiyanagi in 1956 and then they got divorced in 1962. Ono and Anthony Cox then got married on June 6. They had their daughter Kyoko born on August 8, 1963 and the custody battles came not too long after. Cox kidnapped Kyoko for a while too. Later, she married John Lennon.

Yoko Ono was a member of Fluxus, but she didn’t orignally want to, but eventually she came around. Yoko did a couple kinds of art; conceptual art and performance art. She was one person in the many that changed the way that people looked at art.

Roy Lichtenstein was popular around the 1970's and in that time period he was starting to mess around with different ideas and styles of art. He messed around with mirror styled paintings. He also painted some still life pieces.
