Fashion

Fashion in the 1970s... Where do I start? They definitely had there very own fashion styles. more of which that stood out. But I think they deserve full fashion points for creativity and style you wont even believe all the designs and bright colors. Women were wearing maxi dresses quite often and big hair for everyone. Just check out all these website pages below and it will definitely prove my point! I wish we were living the 70s over again just to see how stylish everyone looked. I can just imagine how my closet would look and same with my room.

Womens' favorites- tie dye everything, big beads, dangly earrings, disco outfits, huge heels on boots, long hair
Mens' favorites- mustaches, bigger longer hair, colorful suits

Food

Food wasn't very interesting in the 70's. Sliced bread and corn pops were already invented.

Many great convenience foods were new in the 1970‘s. The microwave came out in 1967, so many people were starting to make meals in their microwave oven. The following were introduced in the 1970’s.“Orville Redenbacher's Gourmet Popping Corn, Hamburger Helper, Morton's salt substitute, Starbucks founded, McCormick's "Roast in a Bag Kit, Celestial Seasnings Herbal Teas, Snapple, Quaker Oates granola, EggMcMuffins, Cup O'Noodles, Stove Top Stuffing, Promise (margarine), Brim (caffeine-free instant coffee), Yoplait yogurt, Miller Lite, Mrs. Field's Cookies, Mr. Coffee, Famous Amos Chocolate Chip Cookies, Country Timelemonade, Apple & Eve juice, Pop Rocks, Burger King launches its "Have it Your Way", Starburst Fruit Chews, Oodles of Noodles, Puritan Oil, Perrier Water introduced to U.S. markets, Twix Cookie Bars, Denny's Grand SlamBreakfast, recyclable soda bottles, plastic grocery bags, McCormick's Lite Gravy, Ben & Jerry's Homemade Ice Cream, Reese's Pieces,  Arby's Beef'n'Cheddar Sandwich.”1As you can see, many foods were geared towards convenience. The “Brady Bunch” moms of the seventies needed to quickly prepare meals and tend to their families needs.

Language

People said things like "far out!" and "groovy!" all the time! They were very silly in that way. The language of the 70's was completely different from the ways people talk today. Some of the different things they used to say that are considered just plane weird to say now:

If you on the site below you can check out all of those groovy words on inthe70s.com.

Interior design

Interior design... Rather boring. The colors were bland. Cream walls and green couches.
